PTS’ Super Self™ Sensory Room is multi-tiered approach to self-regulation that addresses the whole child.
Users of the program will learn how to create and implement a physically and emotionally safe and therapeutic space that meets students’ sensory, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs.

Super Self™ is a multi-tiered program that offers a sensory and behavioral approach to self-regulation. Super Self was created by a multi-disciplinary team to allow for enhanced academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes for all students. The goal of Super Self is to empower students and classroom staff with the skills they need to function optimally and achieve success. Outcomes target not only academic and social engagement, but also focus on improving the school climate by reducing disproportional identification, providing inclusive practices, and allowing students to participate in the least restrictive environment.
The programs within Super Self provide a broad variety of therapeutic interventions specifically designed to promote self-organization and positive change. The Super Self Sensory Room is one such program that that uses therapeutic space designed with equipment and activities to meet the emotional, behavioral, and sensory needs of students throughout their school day. The program allows multi-disciplinary teams to create a space for learning that is sensory rich, promotes a trauma-informed learning environment, and focuses on a safe environment for all students. The Super Self Sensory Room creates a school environment based on the needs of students and staff, and integrates the whole child into its design.
Each Super Self program comes with a proven referral process that targets the right levels of support, along with data collection forms, which allow for movement within the tiers to provide targeted, effective interventions that are implemented with fidelity. The programs also include trainings and classroom modeling for sensory and behavioral strategies to increase carry over within the classroom, promote a positive learning environment, and build capacity and empower teachers to manage their classroom proactively. Written policies and procedures allow the multi-disciplinary team to work in tandem to implement the Super Self programs while applying empirically validated intervention and teaching strategies.
