- State the differences between the various tiers of support and indicate appropriate student placement for each tier.
- Identify 10 strategies for speech and language for each tier of support.
- Identify 5-7 data collection methods for each tier of support.

4:30 – 4:35pm – Intro to series and course overview.
4:35 – 5:30pm – Overview of MTSS: the philosophy, theory, and evolution.
5:30 – 6:15pm – Defining 3 Tiers of MTSS.
6:15 – 6:45pm – Identifying characteristics present at each MTSS tier.
6:45 – 7:15pm – Looking at key strategies through child development, research, case studies.
7:15 – 7:30pm – Question and answers.
Maria Unger, MA, CCC/SLP
Maria Unger has been a speech language pathologist for over 20 years all of which has been focused on pediatrics. Most of her career has been focused in school based practiced paired with birth-3. Maria is currently licensed in PA and DE with extended experience and certifications in AAC and Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Her experience has been spread across various settings including specialized schools, charter schools, and public schools. In her spare time Maria serves as an adjunct Professor at Widener University as well as a volunteer high school field hockey coach.
